Carron Community Hall Kitchen Refurbishment Completed
A Complete Transformation by Moray Fitted Kitchens
Moray Fitted Kitchens is proud to have completed a major refurbishment project at Carron Community Hall, delivering a modern, practical and durable kitchen space for local hall users, community groups and events.
This project involved far more than simply fitting a new kitchen. The existing facility required extensive renovation work to create a safe, functional and welcoming environment for the local community.
Before the Renovation
The original kitchen had reached the end of its useful life. The flooring had become damaged, the room required electrical upgrades, and there was no reliable hot water supply.
The decision was made to carry out a complete refurbishment, bringing the kitchen and surrounding area up to modern standards.
Before Works
Stripping Everything Back
The first stage of the project involved a complete removal of the existing kitchen and preparation of the room for renovation works.
This enabled all underlying issues to be addressed properly rather than simply covering over existing problems.
Works included:
✅ Full kitchen rip-out
✅ Removal of damaged flooring
✅ Electrical upgrades and rewiring
✅ Installation of a new ceiling
✅ Preparation for new plumbing and hot water services
Strip Out and Preparation
Building a Kitchen Designed for Community Use
Unlike a domestic kitchen, a community hall kitchen must cope with regular use by a variety of groups
and organisations.
Durability, ease of cleaning and practical workspace were key considerations throughout the design and installation process.
The finished kitchen includes:
Modern fitted kitchen units
Oak effect worktops
Integrated dishwasher
Built-in oven and hob
Contemporary black sink and tap
Extensive preparation space
Hard-wearing flooring suitable for everyday use

New Hot Water System
One of the most important improvements was the installation of a new hot water system.
The previous facilities were no longer meeting the needs of hall users. The upgraded system now provides reliable hot water for day-to-day use and community events.
The Finished Result
The completed refurbishment has transformed the kitchen into a bright, modern and functional space.
The combination of light grey units, oak-effect worktops and modern appliances provides a welcoming environment while ensuring the kitchen remains practical and robust enough for regular community use.
Carron Community Hall continues to be an important local facility and we are delighted to have contributed to its ongoing improvement.
